I thought this was the tool for shaving a dried bonito

    • Who says it can't be used for that?

      • Would it work for ibirico jamon?

I actually wanted one of these, but it’s showing no stock when I get to the cart :(

    • Wierd, shows 4 left for me.

      • Me too, till I actually try to buy it.

        • Sorry then. : (

There were 10 when I posted the deal. Not sure if they had 10 or that was the limit. I didn't try again after I bought mine.

I thought it was a Japanese planner and was wondering how this small bit of wood could organise my day.

  • Damn, have been chasing one of these for ages

Watched the video because it has no handles. Looks like you pull it toward you which is interesting. Opposite to the western/English wood plane type. Much less complicated too. I feel like you’d have to keep the blade super sharp or it’ll be slipping out of your hands.

I don’t do any planing really. Sanding works for me.

    • The video was quite interesting. You adjust by tapping the blade which is a bit different to planes that I've seen before. Hope it's as easy as the video makes it out to be.

    HIGH QUALITY JAPANESE PLANE

    ✈️

  • Can I eat the flakes for dietary fibre?

  • “ FEEL THE JAPANESE CULTURE”

    Lol

  • Bugger, totally would have bought one of those

  • This was pretty much the normal price. I got a different brand though for $35 last April, now $45 https://www.amazon.com.au/dp/B000ALF4GY it's bloody sharp and has worked well for the little I've used it.
