    Link is broken for me

  • are the OC cards normally worth more over the standard XT?

    • +10

If you care about looks, yes. If you care about performance normally never

    • Not this much more. There have been plenty of sub $1,300 ones, this gigabyte one has been sitting there for a while (like a lot of the more expensive 9070 XTs, most people seem to be hodling as there is regular stock flowing through, just need to be quick).

However the gigabyte is only 288mm long, which may suit some ITX builds. But I'd wait for the powercolor reaper to come back into stock.

5% more performance at a cost of 10% more at max

    not a deal..
just being "in stock" is not a deal
$1199 is the limit for any respecting ozbargainer… and only for "premium oc" models (which mean nothing)
is this a deal because its in stock too? https://www.centrecom.com.au/gigabyte-radeon-rx-9070-xt-gami…

    Not a deal mate.

Actually great deal to the seller.

ozbargain rushing to pay AMD approximately the same they could've paid the past 3 years for a 7900 XTX, for similar performance and 8GB less VRAM. 33% smaller die on the same manufacturing node.

    "hurrr but 5070" they say

    • FSR4 and better RT?

      • +3

suddenly "fake frames" and ray tracing aren't useless scams that nobody wants when AMD does it?

also, they are all accounted for under the die size, which dictates the cost.

        • +4

Whilst I get what you mean about RT suddenly being a thing, it is true that more games are forcing it, so it will surely be useful.

Also, fake frames isn't what FSR4 is, it is an upscaler that performs incredibly well, my old eyes can't tell the diff between native TAA vs FSR4 quality at 1440p.

With 7000 series (ie 7900XT/X) you are unfortunately stuck on last gen AMD FSR due to lacking the ML HW found on the new 9000 series.

There are no good video card deals in 2025, only less bad deals.

    • You are not wrong…
But all considered, this is slightly better card than the 7900xtx imo.
The architectural/software improvements are making up for the smaller die.
But mostly the GPU market sucks, and you can't get any card with similar performance for much less…
Still not a buy for me though.

Seller is laughing with the desperation

I thought this was Ozbargin not Ozinstock

    • +1

I am gonna start posting some deals without stock then 😆

  • 1349 honestly I might as well get 5070 ti with DLSS 4 and RT

    • +1

…except you cant get one near that cheap 🤷‍♂️

      • It's slowly getting there - honestly assuming price never go down, I'd still personally pay say 1600 for Nvidia

    • +1

Yeah, am not in rush. Happy to wait months for 5070 Ti for 1550,- if 9070XT stays at 1300. At the 1139,-MSRP for 9070XT I'd rather go 9070 XT even if 5070 Ti is MSRP.

      • cards are likely to get more expensive in the coming months because of trumps tariffs just a heads up

      • Check JW computers for Gigabyte windforce, it has been in stock at 1509 multiple times this and last week.

    • for an extra $400

  • +2

How is this a deal? 5070ti is avilable for 1509 from JW sometimes. MSRP for 9070xt is 1140.
