It's been $70 for as long as I can remember.

with a $30 visa egift card?

      • That does make it slightly better value!

        • Multi City is good too if holidaying interstate or in NZ over the next year.

      • Yes. I got the same deal in December 2024.

Shame there are hardly any places to use it….

I haven't used mine for at least 3 months now.

I'm always finding more choice and better deals using EatClub.

  • I am in WA the Multi-City Upgrade is not very useful for me. all the other cities are too far away

    • +1

It's good if you travel interstate or travelling to NZ.

  • so pretty much $30 for nothing

You get a free dozen of Krispy Kreme.

      • Isn’t that only when you buy a dozen at full price?

        • +2

I just get mine on the back of someone else's purchase…

    • You clearly haven't done you research. Just one dinner or a ticket to an attraction will pay back $30. And there is an extensive list of venues where you can get discounts.

Is this of any use these days? Plenty of free apps provide similar deals. I also note this comment previously

    • Yeah, I'm surprised they haven't gone out of business yet

      • I thought so since 10 years ago. But I am still buying EB almost every year.

    • Still handy. Some of the restaurants are places I go to anyway.. I've definitely made my return. Gift cards discount not too bad either, bought some Freedom furniture using it.

    • The answer is yes.

Just a reminder, this is free of you have Zurich life insurance. Not the extra $30 bit the main membership.

  • $70 has been the standard, but these books are victim to shrinkflation. The coupons are not even close to as good as they used to be, hell I remember back then sometimes it needed a proper effort to get your moneys worth, now I reckon it would be a proper mission.

    • Agreed. Buy one get one free deals are rare now and are being replaced with 14% off?!

  • How long can you leave it before you have to activate it?

    Answer - 90 days

    • Riddle comments belong in the forums…

It was a serious question which I then found the answer to - and thought it might be useful for others.

        • Oh, I thought you were posting a riddle…

          I didn't 'get' the punchline…

This is still the best deal. Multi city upgrade, $20 David Jones gift card, $30 prepaid visa card

…. except that deal has expired now.

The charity you buy this through still gets a commission to help with fundraising.
I notice OzBargain doesn't have a referral link to allow us to add charity purchase links - is there a way of doing this?
It doesn't change the purchase price but the special offer still applies & the charity gets something out of it.

  • +1

20% of purchase price goes to charity.
Please select a charity wisely. May I suggest to select 'Chris O'Brien Lifehouse' who do an amazing job treating cancer patients.

I have repeatedly been sucked into buying this card - my multi-city 2 year sub is expiring soon. Rarely get any value at all for it - most everything is a poor deal (for me) or available freely via other channels. YMMV of course, but I'm not falling for it again.
As for the charity donation? Just donate $20 as you wish, directly, and claim a tax deduction - at least you'll get some money back that way in your return.

  • I am holding off for their 2 for 1 offer they have done for the last few years. that makes it worthwhile for me. I am using EatClub in the meantime to get my eating out deals

Entertainment app has gone downhill a lot over the last few years. Barely any good deals especially with a lot of the good restaurants now with the 14% entice gift card. Won't be renewing this time around
