New Head Unit for Subaru Outback

The head unit in my MY 2018 Outback Premium has failed for the second time (!!). Exactly the same problem as the first time, when it was replaced under warranty. Subaru not interested in warranty given the age of the car (wanting $2,900 for a new Subaru one, which will probably fail again).

I'm after recommendations for replacement head unit retailers who can provide everything I need to replace it and retain all original functions. Quality and reliability is important. Essentially who is good in the zoo? TIA.

  Are the display/radio controls used to alter any car functions?

    No. Or at least we don't use them for that purpose.

  Most of those Chinese android units retain the steering wheel controls and the ability to adjust the vehicle settings.. maybe someone like the Joying 10.1"
