My example is Repco by Century 4x4 & SUV Battery NS70LX MF Ultimate Performance $257.60, save $64.40. It's for a CX 9

I need a battery and Mspaint's post prompted me.

Supercheap shows $329, so about $296 after tonight's 10%.

Edit. I got Supercheap to match on chat and then used the SAVE code from [this deal] at checkout for a final $230.94

  • Warran Tee, he's the golf player right?

Might want to consider Amaron or the slightly cheaper PowerZone Batteries. They are well known globally for their long life, quality and reliability on rough roads (withstand heavy vibrations) and in hot climates.

I'll happily pay extra for batteries made in Australia with a good warranty. If you need to use that warranty having a physical store makes the Repco batteries much less hassle.

Some might argue that purchasing a battery from an Auto Club like RACV, RACQ, RAA, NRMA, RACT, or AANT is an even better option. These clubs not only offer excellent warranties but also provide onsite replacement, a significant advantage. For many, the convenience of making a single phone call to have everything handled can be a great value for money. However, there is always a tradeoff between convenience and cost, and the best choice will depend on individual priorities.

I purchased an Amaron 75D23L for $150 directly from a large distributor, which typically retails around $200.

          Who was the distributer.?

          • @chinaman: Goodchild Enterprises in Perth

  • Just last week I got a Century 75D23L for $240 from Total Tools. That was the best deal around but this one is a better deal for $217.

SA locals can price match to Peter and Rick's Auto for far better pricing

is that right? like $100 less

      • Yep, done it many times for myself and others over the past few years with both Supercheap and Repco happy to price match.

        • I'm not able to get Supercheap to price match. Seem to be because theres no indication of stock or product page. Just a price list.

  • @TooSerious2 hey OP, try and find an Exide battery stockist near you.
https://moorabbinbatteries.com.au/products/exide-suv-4wd-die… is the equivalent to the NS70LX MF that you bought - but it's only $210.

    • Local Costco store also has Exide Batteries with Good Warranty

    • Longer warranty. Great price. Doesn't say if it's Australian made. Will try to remember in a few years time.

      • They were made in South Australia but I'm not sure if that's still the case. I know a lot of them though started getting manufactured in the Philippines.

    • Bunnings also stock Exide, they're usually as cheap as anywhere else that's on special.

  • Did supercheap allow you to pricematch a repco battery?
Did it need to be exact identical?

    • Yeah. I just went on chat and sent them a link for the Repco one.
