Velocity card churn is possibly the easiest. Convert to kris at 1.55 or wait for bonus periods

Not something I would do unless the points needed is very little, like a few thousand just to purchase rewards tickets.

I wish to travel to Europe business class next year (around March to May) to celebrate my long service leave (I'm usually a penny pincher but this is a unique situation) and trying to work out best way. I only have 15K Krisflyer miles (don't laugh - happy to use points to partially upgrade or for part payment - I appreciate I'm a long way off) but that has been without really trying. Sounds like I just look for cheap flights as getting a decent number of miles won't happen.
@kiriakoz: Download the velocity app, look up the route you want to fly and find out how many points you need and work backwards. Rewards seats normally need to be booked 10-12 months ahead, there are limited numbers. If you don’t have the points now, hard to book for March 2026 but never know, you might get lucky. The star alliance points i have (and would like to transfer) were earned via the hsbc star alliance credit card which i have since cancelled so no longer hsbc customer. Any idea if the bonus would apply in this situation?
It seems to indicate the offer is for "HSBC Star Alliance cardholders" but doesn't say anything in the terms & conditions about it being earnt whilst a cardholder & then cancelling.
Note that the star alliance points expire 18 months after the last earn, so maybe you want to transfer anyway if you aren't going to earn any some other way.

I'd love to be better educated generally on how to accumulate more Krisflyer points. I'm a veteran OzBargainer but airline points and miles is my weak spot. Is there an easy way to get up to speed?
