  • That's a great price. I'll prob have to buy by end of year though. Money is tight

    • I would suggest buying 8rh generation one if buying at the end of year.

  • Can you use AFTERPAY2025 only once per account or as many times as you want?!

    • As many times, $30 cap and obviously once per order.

    Amazing price for a miniled

Should always mention Australian Hisense the OS is VIDAA. Utter rubbish OS. Need to factor in anywhere from a chromecast up to Apple TV as a better interface.

I’m wishing my 50 inch falls off the wall somehow, or someone accidently whacks it and breaks the screen.

    • Yeah VIDAA OS is garbage and somehow gets worse with every update, if you get these tv a chromecast or firestick is a must

    • I agree, I was a Hisense user for years, after a day with the TCL 855 with Google OS I will never touch VIDAA again.

    • Barely anyone uses the default OS anyway. If anything, I personally prefer raw specs and bare minimum OS.

  • Partner and I have this, not by choice. Had the previois year model and started getting weird hot spots on the screen, hisense honoured the warranty and when they replaced it we recieved this newer model. At the time I was fist pumping the air. Little did I know the audio on this model is terrible. I called supporr again to see if anything could be done and I could get my older model or a soundbar as compensation. As expected they did not do either. But keep in mind the audio on this model specifically is TERRIBLE! Voices are way to quiet, music is crazy loud everything gets drowned out by music lmfao. I am looking into either a soundbar or surrending to watching tv with headphones to avoid annoying the neighbours.

  • Noob to the technologies TVs use.

If we don't watch much TV and might play some Playstation time to time, is it worth for going for this ? I was thinking going for TCL 65" C655 4K UHD QLED Google TV for $895. I've seen that Mini-LED TVs are much better displays. But just wondering if we don't watch TV daily, might watch films and play games time to time, is this worth going for ?

    • If spending $800 is worth on something you may only occasionally use, will come down to your budget and cash flow.
Is this a better purchase than TCL C655? — 100%. Better display, better speakers, better motion graphics for gaming and sports.

Now, bigger TV at lower quality vs smaller TV at better quality is a question for ages and I was in the same dilemma, comes down to personal preference.

      • what are your thoughts on using this as a pc gaming monitor.. i am thinking of using it as a secondary screen for just having my desktop open with maybe discord/youtube/twitch or even just static images on it

might try fit it as my primary screen if it can fit on my main desk but most likely it will just be propped up on a sturdy shelf above my pc so viewing angles might be a thing but i am mostly concerned about screen burn in

does it have any issues with leaving it on for long periods at a time think maybe weeks or months just constantly on

  • After breaking my mum's old TV at 4:30 yesterday afternoon I went to purchase this. JB Hifi would price match but I had to include postage costs which brought it up to the original cost. Then the sales guy said he had none in stock and only had the floor stock. He said it wouldn't fit in my car, he only discounted $7 off the floor model and then convinced me to buy the TCL 50 Inch C755 QD-Mini LED Google TV. I was so confused I came home. Is the TCL as good as the Hisense? will they allow me to return the TV once its left the store? I'm thinking of checking the other JB Hifi for stock. Any help from a non tech savvy grandmother would be much appreciated.

    • Try price matching via live chat online, this way you may be able to avoid the added delivery fee charge.
TCL C755 is a slightly better TV due to the Google TV Operating System, although you are then getting a smaller TV compared to this 55".

      • I opened the TV and it was cracked. Called them and took it back and they convinced me to get an LG as the Hisense were all gone and the TLC. I got that home and the base is missing pieces. I'm so over them.

    • Yeah, these new-ish sales mfs really don't understand that they're just low-level disposable employees and that they should be instead helping out their everyday mate. They in return will also get helped out when they're doing their own shopping.
