    Got one.

Cheaper price than what they often sell for, but not for the respective quality of the blade. Soft metal. Garbage design…

Grabbed one as our block set came with the smaller 15cm? Knife which really doesn't cut it… 🥁

Haha, I saw what you did there. You're pretty sharp :)

  • Thanks OP, these are really good! Grabbed one too

The handle isn't for me, but the specs suggest this is a "steel" at that price.

Yes, X50CrMoV15 steel is softer than a typical Japanese knife but quite common in German knives. They both have their benefits. In this case the softer steel will need honing more frequently, and being softer, it's easier to hone. It's more forgiving, and shouldn't chip like a harder blade, when cutting harder things like frozen food or through bone/joints.

This knife has a 26° edge, so 13° on each side sits between the typical German 15° and Japanese 10° edge.

Have a set of furi knives, wish I didn't. They're fine. Not bad enough to throw away. Not good enough to make me happy.

    • Well, you can just add like 50 dollars more for a Victorinox Fibrox Pro knife, which would be way better than this anyway.

  • Shows average price of around $50 for the last 5 years. So RRP is inflated. It has been as low as $27 late last year.

How it compare to Coles, Kmart's , or Baccarat knife that comes with life time warranty while this is 25y.

Edit: Deal expired already. Good ads.

  • I got given a set of these as a gift some years back. They are ok, easy to sharpen, but don't hold an edge long. The handles are not great for my (admittedly pretty large) hands, but my wife likes how they feel in hers.

  • Damn sold sad

    Just get Victorinox

Two of ours hairline cracked at the end of the blade, where it turns into the handle and rust marks around the crack.
The have been through the dishwasher but they are supposed to be solid stainless steel.

No forged knife should ever be put in a dishwasher, caustic detergents and too high heat will damage them.

  • Seems to be back. Just got one.

  • Back in stock.
Got 3 sets free from e&s last year, I don't understand the complaints, they are great knifes.

  • $240 for a knife block set of 7 magnetic, worked out to be similar price for those who are after a set.
