  • Do these run true to size? Suitable for wider, flatter feet?

    • There's D, 2E and 4E. take your pick really!

the title in bold is not enough, lol

    • From my experience they run really narrow. I would go for wide but for these type of shoes you'd really want to try them in store first.

      • I find the 4E the same as the Asics 4E which are pretty wide.

    • I would never have guessed my size without an instore fitting.
I did the Athletes foot scan thing and it read one of my feet at 11 and the other at 10.5 but with a somewhat flat wide and tall foot (high volume). I ended up in a 13 2e bondi 8 with an insole to have the right dimensions and feedback and now it's easily the comfiest runner I've had. Main caveat is that they are quite heavy and secondarily they're not as breathable as I'd like.

    • I have worn size 12, 4E in Brooks Ghost, Asics Kayano, and currently the Bondi.
The Hoka are my favourite and I will not be going back to the other brands.
Very similar fit to the Ghost, but maybe a bit more breathable.
They also don't have an annoyingly pointy tip like the Kayano, which annoy my almost completely square boxed toes.

Here is a side by side of all three

    • Be very careful about the fit. I had a metatarsal injury and the podiatrist recommended me to buy a stiff shoe. Based on runrepeat reviews, Hoka Bondi is the stiffest shoe.

I wear 2E and bought one. It squished my little toe and caused a blister. So exchanged and bought a 4E which was very uncomfortable. Couldn’t return and then bought new balance 1080. Very happy for walking but too soft for gym use.

Hold team. It’s time we get those ~$100 deals again. Be patient.

If you need 4E definitely don't wait!
I have had hoka alerts for probably over a year now and this is the first I have seen that include 4E in the sale.

      • Don't wait for the 2E that's not in a boring black or silver colour. Shame the Cobalt and Virtual Blue both sold out in a 9.5 :(

        • Eh picked up 2E for that $100 range. It’s the panic people have that drives the stock down. I picked up three pairs on the last revision for bargain prices. Almost three pairs for the same price one would cost at RRP.

Mind you I don’t really care about colours (even still managed to pick up 2/3 of my preference).

I discovered really good fakes for about $50. Only found two very minor differences: the upper mesh is which is slightly different (holes are less pronounced, you wouldn’t notice it unless you put them side to side) and the location of the reflective adhesive is a few mm off. Everything else, and I mean EVERYTHING is the same

    • The looks might be the same (or close to it) but I doubt the on feet and running feel the same? And for a pair of running shoes it's the road feel that matters!

Donno why people bother looking for premium running shoes at basement prices. If budget is limited one is better off buying Chinese brand runners those will end up being better performing than knock-offs of western brands.

I wear both and don’t feel any difference. That’s why I called them really good fakes. I’m sure there’s terrible fakes out there, but these ones I found on a popular marketplace (overseas) are very good

        • Where can I find the good fakes?

  • Thanks OP. I am chasing a pair of BLACK Bondi 8 in 4E size 10.5. The price jumps to $280 :( May as well get the Bondi 9 for this price. I love my Bondi 8s. Beautiful shoe
