    Doesn't bother me, I find most iron cords too short where I tend to iron vs where a socket is. I always use an extension cord anyway, so no issue. I do this with the vacuum too so I don't need to keep changing sockets moving through the house.

  saw that some other Sunbeam irons have 2.5m cords. https://www.kmart.com.au/product/2400w-steam-iron-42681465/ cord on this Kmart iron is 2.6m
