It's a fantastic show, I have seen it twice now, once in Sydney and once in Melbourne and I paid a lot more than $89 haha

        Why not?

        • -6

          Because it costs money.

          • @jv: You’ve never bought something more than once?

            • @sween64: Only when the first item broke or got worn out…

@jv: So you’ve only got one pair of underwear?

Saw it in Melbourne a few months ago, Beauty was good but Beast had 0 stage presence. I would go on TodayTix and enter the $24 lottery for tickets

    • +2

I got 2 x of these and the seats were in the 2nd row :)

    • I've been entering the lottery for weeks now but no luck so far 😞

I saw this in Melbourne in December ($96 for 96hrs sale promotion) and the performer who played Lumière was easily the star of the show! "Be Our Guest" is so iconic. Gaston was pretty hilarious too. Chip was very cute and really heartwarming. Well worth the price at $89.

  • Is it suitable for 3-year olds?

    • Not suitable for under 6.

Don't do that to the people around you…

        Clear you dont have kids

        • +10

          On the contrary I do

Given the asking price for musicals/theatre tickets, and the expectations around audience noise etc I never would've taken them as babies/toddlers, unless the show was geared towards them (like the Wiggles or something)

No one wants to try to watch a show while a kid/baby can't sit still, or won't shut up etc

Took my wife to see it in Brisbane. It was my first musical. As someone who doesnt really like musicals (at least in movie format), I was blown away by how good it was. Definitely worth the $89.

  • Any one got tips on good seats in this theatre for a noobie?

    • +3

From experience it's a smaller theatre with no real bad seats, however, if you want the best show in terms of where producers etc sit when mixing music, try sitting about 6-7 rows back in the middle (obviously depending on availability)

      • Are you talking about stalls or dress circle?

        • +6

He would be talking about stalls. If you go dress circle you want the first 3 rows ideally, and not too far around the sides.

    • +1

My priority is Dress Circle (as close to the front as possible) > Stall (centre seats, middle rows so you don't have to crane your neck the whole time) > Grand Circle. Go to the website of the theatre and they usually have photos of the view from certain seats so you can choose what you want.

  • My wife just went yesterday, booked in last week at half price apparently

  • thank you i missed out on all the deals that were going around a fortnight or so a go so happy to get these.

    • The last deal excluded the best class of tickets. This deal makes all classes the same price, including the best class. (shown in dark blue on the seating map). So actually this deal may be a bit better if you can find some good seats still.

  • Gee whiz you'd want to be getting pretty lucky after sitting through this

  • It was amazing and I would happily see it again, $89 per ticket feels steep after the BOGOF things though, even if it is better seats

  • But why do people keep going to see the same story, how many times do you need to see Grease, Phantom of the Opera or Miss Saigon
