The resort we want to stay at (Ayodya, Nusa dua) says no rooms available for three adults (child classified at property as 11 and under). When I change to two adults one child it gives me option for a family room with one king + sofa bed and says "sleeps 4".
Should I just book that and let them know when I get there that he's 15, I don't mind paying extra for him, I just want to stay at that resort, lol. What's the chances they will cancel my booking when I tell them?
They are not that strict at Bali compared to Japan. Just check in as normal.
We stayed at Ayodya last year, lovely resort, assume you're doing the all inclusive? You'd be mad not to.

I would book it, there's a very high chance they don't really care in the sense it's not over dramatic or being overly dodgy on what you're doing. If they question you, just say you saw a bedroom for a family up to 4 and you booked it. Not gonna be a problem IMO.

Might be because its a small bed as the reason it isn't showing for your 3 adults.
You could call them, email them or just wing it and book it.

Yeah that's what I said…. small bed……for small children….. not a big bed for……. adults
If it's "pay at hotel" I'd do it.
Worst case, they may bring in an extra single (foldable) bed and charge an adult extra. Family rooms assume the child will be sharing the same bedding.
At the end of the day, the hotel want you to be comfortable and they have regulations to uphold.
Worse case is OP makes booking, rocks up to accommodation and is told room is not suitable for 3 adults and they have no other rooms left.
Why not phone them?
