Aromas of dark plum, blackberry, and black cherry are layered with hints of licorice, fennel, and sweet spice. Maturation for 18 months in a mix of French and American oak has imparted subtle notes of cedar, vanilla, and dark chocolate. The palate is full-bodied and opulent, yet beautifully balanced, with velvety tannins and a long, refined finish.
