Was looking to replace the dumb charger that came with my eneloops a while back, and get something with a simple capacity read out for AA/AAA charging.

Research lead me to
Nitecore UMS4, XTAR vc4sl and Vapcell s4+

Settled on the nitecore UMS2 for $17.99. This seems to be about half the cost of competitor sellers (such as Ali), and is also cheaper than 4 cell chargers mentioned above which go for around $40-$100.

Please validate my purchase.

  Note: this model comes in both Micro-USB and USB-C.

  I suspect that these are the old Micro-USB Version.

    Aah they finally updated it to Usb C.
    Nice.
    I really loved this charger but the micro usb slot turned out to be delicate and physically broke from circuit board.

    Dont buy the micro usb version.

      Haha yeah I've been slowly trying to get rid of my microUSB items but still a few left - I have the UMS4 but its going strong and not going to waste money swapping over a working product.

  This is Micro USB, and requires a QC-compatible charging port in order to charge at maximum rate. So if you are using an older Apple charger or your PC/Laptop USB port, expect slightly slower charging.
