Deal expired. Looks like they only had 100 units at that price.

Also worth a look is the Bosch stubby ratchet screwdriver at $15. https://www.amazon.com.au/Bosch-Screwdriver-High-Torque-Fast…

I don't have this particular socket set, but I find Bosch DIY hand tools to be pretty well made and very good value when on sale.

i paid $141 for a similar wera set
everyone guess what I'm going to do.
correct return the wera and buy this

    • +1

That made me laugh! To be fair the Wera is going to be better, but is it $122 better, lol.

      • Harder to carry 7 of the Bosch sets though 🤔

    • It looks about the same kind of tool with last year wera advent calendar set. I got mine for $25.

  • Cute little set cheers got 1

"Little" being the operative word. Checkout the review pics with hands holding it. This thing is tiny as. Not sure if practical.

      • Very practical. I use it to tighten glass fixtures and pretty much between my xiaomi mijia set and this can do all small jobs

      • I’m using it in conjunction with vessel ball grip electric screwdriver, size perfect to go into my tool kit - and for the really small fine work stuff, i have a rip off of the mijia set.

    FYI its made in China

  • If you can fix it with this you can probably fix it without tools

    Expired? $29 for me

    • Yep, just checked and OP deal expired. Cheers for pointing it out.

Have had this set for about 4 years now. Its really handy! Use it all the time. Great for where a full size ratchet won't fit.

  • Thanks OP, grabbed the ratchet screwdriver.

This one was my best buy a few years back: https://www.amazon.com.au/Bosch-V-Line-Titanium-Screwdriver-…

    • Can those drill bits fit another drill, eg. a DeWalt drill ?

      • +1

Yes, these bit sets are pretty much universal.

        • I'm going to get it then.

I'm just trying to find something 'else' to qualify for the $59 free shipping, ha.

@whyisave: Bosch stubby ratchet screwdriver linked in OP above maybe? It's $15

Although I would recommend buying something like the Milwaukee 48325148. Its currently $49 but much better quality and will last a lot longer. Less bits but has most everything you would use around the house etc.

            • @revheadgl: You're right about the Milwaukee set, being durable.

The Bosch contains a screwdriver set, and in a nice, organized kit.

I already have a bit set from Makita and it seems durable, and I was just after a good drill set.

I'll hold off the Bosch then and go for a Milwaukee set from here ?

@whyisave: The one I mentioned is on sale and I think is a limited thing. Available from Sydney Tools, Total Tools and Tool Kit Depot. I guess whichever is the closest.

If you don't want to pick up in person, for me in Canberra, Total Tools offers the cheapest shipping but your location may differ. I also find Total Tools and Tool Kit Depot to be the quickest delivery of the 3 shops.

I have been using Milwaukee bits and drill bit sets for over a decade and can highly recommend.

@revheadgl: About 2 years ago, I bought a Makita set for $55 and I've sparingly used it.

Now, when I see your suggestion for the Milwaukee set, I feel like I should have got that instead, because it has the most common bits and also drill bits, which I didn't have in the Makita set at all.

Today, I was a bit indecisive about this Bosch set because I was attracted to the ratchet screwdriver in the bundle, amongst the collection of bits & drills —> picture

So I "bit the bullet" and placed the Amazon order just a few minutes, before your latest post :-\ … and I also want the Milwaukee set too (but I only need the drill bits and nothing else).

                  • +1

@whyisave: You can always cancel the Amazon order if you want, Its very easy to do, But if not, the Bosch set will be ok.

                    • +1

@revheadgl: Before your/this reply, I was about to cancel the Amazon order (because I also bought a 512GB USB stick, just to get free shipping and I also needed a USB like that and cancelling the Bosch, means I won't get free delivery for the USB stick either, haha. I just refuse to be a Prime member :-\ ).

Then, thought the Bosch set was a nice, compact set with the ratcheting screwdriver as a bonus, because all I wanted were some basic drill bits, even though I don't have any immediate drilling to do :-D

Yes, the Milwaukee drill-bits will be more robust & durable, but I don't need the extra stuff in that set either, as I already have everything in my Makita set (bought for $55+, a couple of years ago) and that Milwaukee set is a bit dearer.

I mean, I could gift this Bosch set to someone else (or sell it off at the same price), but the Milwaukee set is costlier only for me wanting just drill-bits.

When I do some drilling later, I could just buy a good drill-bits :-)

( Also, I had used discounted Amazon gift card value to spend )

                      • +1

@whyisave: If the Bosch suits your needs and has what you need it will be just fine. Like you said, you can always add or buy something else or a dedicated drill bit set later on.

I do the same when looking at buying stuff too, lol. We are all just trying to get the best deal we can. Otherwise we wouldn't be here on OzB!!

That's why I appreciate honest suggestions and recommendations, like you did.

It made my indecisive schzim harder and I got instant buyer's remorse, 1-minute after !

    • You should post it as a deal if it hasn't been already. It's only a couple of bucks dearer than ATL after a quick check.

    • if you dont have bits, and need a general purpose kit, this one is good value when it goes on special.

the drill bits are a bit rubbish though and snap quite easy.

  • Damn I bought a different Bosch drill bit set recently which is now on sale a fair bit cheaper.

If I hit up Amazon chat support would they refund me the difference in store credit?
