You don't have to be a kid to play with them. They actually looking good in display cabinet.
Very good quality and must have items if you are a collector. Please note that they are Ford and Mini official products.
Have a good day

  • Is there much range of speed control on these things, from crawl to flat out?

  • They've been this price for ages in my local DSE.

    • Allegedly, they are a clearance item, as per DSE website (link below).

  • I saw these in store just before Xmas for around $30
    Direct link to the item:

  • Are they fast? My five-year old would probably love one of these if they've got some pace to them. If it's infra-red I'm guessing you have to remain fairly close by the car to keep control over it?

    • check out this youtube clip, looks like the same car http://youtu.be/b8T26V5HvCI

      • Yes it's a Fiesta but doesn't look like the same toy - different colours and no mention of working lights on the box of the one at DSE judging by the photo posted here.

Might have a look at one of the way home as I pass a DSE store.

        • You might wanna grab this too as it dropped to $15 now, what's going on with DSE lately?

Then you will really be popular tonight!

  • Whilst looking at this RC car I spotted the Mario & Yoshi karts on sale at DSE, so I posted a separate deal: http://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/89822

  • The Fiesta has dropped to $15 and the Mini down to $20!

    • I saw this earlier and will check it out when I go to pick up the kids mario/yoshi ones. Not sure if it's worthwhile picking this up too as an additional. Did you get one? Review?

      • Didn't get this one, I thought it was too big, we wanted small rc cars, Yoshi & Mario :-)

          Agreed nismo.

I only grabbed the Mario and Yoshi karts. The fiesta and mini were chunky and not that detailed and looked a little cheap. Hard to know what their performance would be like.

I won't be able to give the Mario karts a run till I give them to the kids tomorrow morning.

Hopefully they are good fun and it takes my mind off missing out on Optimus Prime from Amazon UK for them (and me;).
          Cheers.

Thank you so much nismo. I just got refund $15 for the items I purchased yesterday.
Kudo to you for information and DSE for great service and great bargain.
I will update the prices to reflect the price reduction. Cheers

      • Nice, good to hear :-)

  • Agreed fookos. Mario karts are more suitable to young kids and Ford and Mini are more suitable for age 6+.
I have mario kart too. The only annoying thing is i have to recharge the kart from the remote as you can't change the batteries in the kart. Took hours to charge then not too long you have to change the new batteries in the remote again as the result of charging.
I wish the designers should take note of this and improve next model.

    • My carts seems to be pre-charged but I put eneloops in the controller and just read in the instructions only to use alkaline batteries and not rechargables!?

      What are you using?

Seems crazy to have to use standard batteries in the controllers and then throw them away each time - especially as they also have to charge the karts.

  • I am using alkaline batteries only as per instruction. I paid $25 few months a go. $10 is a bargain regardless of not that user friendly. Have a good night
