I have stopped using Burts after a year because my lips were becoming dependant on it. Switched to Nivia and theyre back to normal.

how many days was the discomfort while using Nivia? I have become dependant on it too and if I don't use Burts bees for 1 day, my philtrum becomes dry and uncomfortable.

      1 pack of pomegranate/watermelon is a couple pennies cheaper - https://www.amazon.com.au/Burts-Bees-Natural-Grapefruit-Blis…

i used Nivia for 2 days and they were fine and havent had to use it in a few weeks. Burts was nearly everyday and they would never not be cracked.

    • That should be illegal

    • I've tried Nvidia and Burts and my lips still get dry and cracked, even if I've been chugging litres of water all day. I wish I could find a balm that actually keeps lips moist, or at least makes them look moist.

my favourite is the RTX 5090, more expensive than Burts though

      • Try apply some Vaseline to keep moisture in overnight

        • Vaseline overnight works. I've also found the ~$3 Kmart lip "masks" work well overnight if you can handle the sweeter scents (lavender isn't bad).

      • I recommend Palmers - No association!

    • Thats so interesting, I had the complete opposite experience!

I tried Vaseline, Nivea, Carmex, Blistex, Chapstick, Dermal Therapy, and a handful of other ones but they all only gave temporary relief.

The only ones that worked for me and genuinely helped my lips heal were Burt's Bees and Palmers I guess different stokes for different blokes :)

I stopped using Burt's bees. Doesn't work for me. I've been using Dermal Therapy and it works like a charm. Plus, it's an Australian business. All their products I vouch.

    • I just cant stand their bottle, i dont want to squeeze out any product i just want to roll it on.

      • storage wise may not be so good, but you have found the moisturiser worked right?
