The Urban Gentry Review of a similar model.

This has a resin lens, never trust Amazon specs. Anyone that buys one should jump on Amazon chat once they receive it & complain. This is misleading & a breach of consumer law. You might get a partial refund.

If you want a quartz beater diver that's a step up from this I recommend this Addiesdive model (SS case & mineral lens)

  • Any recommendations for a new starter to Casio ?
Been hoping for one with a step tracker but can't seem to find one with a small form factor

    • The GBD100 has step tracker. Also MIP display which is awesome. I think it would look good on you.

Also look at GBD200 models but not as cheap in this sale so I didn't add them.

      • I’ve read some reviews that mention that those 2 models are very laggy.

        • I'm not a fan of smart watches but I'm sure there are much better ones available if that's what you're after.

I was just trying to help nekov who is after a Casio with step tracking.

          • @WatchNerd: Yeah, I think that everyone apreciate your efforts. But it seems that these watches are kinda laggy. And I’ve found the review that I was referring to:

            https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qb1qE0qEU4A

It seems that the newest GD-B500 that it’s also mentioned in that video is not that laggy and also has step counter and Bluetooth.

            • @ALBastru: The 2 move app is rubbish and is part of the problem. Easy enough to test it anyway on Amazon and return within 30 days if it doesn't work well enough for you.

Smart and fitness watches aren't Casio's forte and there are plenty of better devices around for that purpose.

Just watch a few mad watch collector videos on best G-Shocks etc. not always worth rushing in on some odd models just because they are on sale.

What's odd about it? Didn't you buy a GBD200 for around $140? Looks like it has the same or very similar module.

        • Yeah I'd recommend the GBD200 for around $140. Looks more like the squares and wouldn't be massive. Recommend turning all that smart crap off as well since they aren't solar. People just get them for the MIPS display.

Whether you like the round version is up to you. There's a reason why it's chrqp.

i think it would look good on you, go for it.
(I'm just saying as a total noob they should at least research a few before buying, some of the classics are must haves and well respected still.

          • @G-rig:

Yeah I'd recommend the GBD200 for around $140. Whether you like the round version is up to you.

But it's not $140. So basically you just don't like the look of the GBD100.

Recommend turning all that smart crap off

But he asked for something with a step tracker.

            • @WatchNerd:

But it's not $140. So basically you just don't like the look of the GBD100, it's not really an odd model.

But he also asked for something with a small form factor, which th GBD200 would fit the bill better.

But he asked for something with a step tracker.

              Oh right, glanced over that.

They should go and look at a few and try on at the shops. Buy right buy once.

              • @G-rig: Ok great so we got to the bottom of what you really meant. It was never about it being an "odd model", it was the size difference compared to the GBD200.

                • @WatchNerd: Well round G-shocks like that one would be an acquired taste and I don't know anyone who would chose it over the GBD200 (but it is alright for $100 so not knocking the deal).

I've tested the step tracker and it isn't accurate so I wouldn't recommend buying it for that.

                  • @G-rig: You do realise there are more round G-Shock models than square.

                    • @WatchNerd: Yeah I got some which is why I mentioned the classics. They are mostly huge but don't care mate, we haven't even heard back from old mate.

  • I got mugged on the subway by Riddick Bowe.
Pretty sure that it was him,
    but I'll never know.

He took my wallet and my watch,
    it was a Casio.
I'm gonna pick me up another
when I go to the store.

You know, I tried to get away,
but I was just too slow.
    You're pretty low, Riddick Bowe.
