Genuinely surprised considering how it looks :/
Definitely not great looking - almost none of the DualSense Limited Editions are, but they're collectables and immediately double in value if not more.

It's a pretty ugly controller. I guess it's a collector's item but I don't see this being anything like the 30th anniversary controller.

Yeah this is a pretty lame money grab. At this point they probably don’t care. Anything “limited edition” will be gobbled up by collectors.
Even if they smeared it with shit stains and called it a day, they’d still sell.
I picked up one of these too https://www.jbhifi.com.au/products/ps5-playstation-link-usb-… so i can get the full dual sence experience on PC :D with this controller. I pretty much have all the Sony ps5 games on pc now so besides the one game on psvr 2 that I need to play on ps5 everything else is on pc now :D
I thought that dongle only worked to connect a PS headset to the PC, not controllers.

The controllers can just connect to PC via Bluetooth, just need a software layer to convert to xinput.apparently that link can also connect ps5 and ps4 controllers through native wireless and not bluetooth.
@kungfuman: But I thought that the PS5 and PS4 controllers use BT even to connect to the consoles. What is "native wireless" on those controllers?
@chromium: the same wireless you get when you connect ot a ps5 your not connect via bluetooth on a ps5 its direct wifi connection thats why the latency is low.
@kungfuman: I don't think that's right, pretty sure the DS and DS4 both use BT to connect to the consoles.
BT can be low latency I use a DS4 on my MiSTer via BT and it's around 6ms
DSX is a fantastic piece of software for that. great translation of rumble, pass through trigger haptics if need be, or fully customizable trigger haptics if you want. Also you can easily convert to Xbox or DS4 if the game only works with certain controller types.

Sure, you can get the standard controllers for less generally, but that's not their RRP price.I've always remembered Limited editions themed products typically being the same RRP as the standard.
The price discrepancy between the everyday price of the standard and full RRP was kind of the premium for the limited edition
I guess that's a thing of the past now, it seems they have no issues selling even with the ~11% price premium of the standard
Thanks for sharing. I don't think I like this design enough to spend this much money. I much prefer the more subtle look of the DualShock 4 limited edition(m.media-amazon.com).

Aliexpress usually has shell swaps for all these limited edition controllers for around $20, so you could always just chuck one of those on your pre-existing controller rather than wasting $135 on this ugly thing.

it's a limited edition controller, so if you want it and you don't manage to nab a pre-order, generally speaking the only way to get one is to pay inflated scalper prices on ebay.
so it's like a "pre-bargain". yeah yeah ozMSRP blah blah, but things like this ultimately go up so it's good to get them on launch at recommend retail pricing.
Do the sticks still wear out far too quickly on these?
