2 minute silence for those who tried to beat you in posting this deal

  • Hmmm, my Epic game store needed an update but the launcher had issues… twice!

Remember to claim this week's game: [PC, Epic] Free - Mortal Shell @ Epic Games.

    • I totally missed this one, thanks!

already played via Gamepass, but just swinging by to say this is a really underrated management sim and you should give it a go

    • Will this game work with a game pad (PS5 Duel Sense)?

I thought it was another dinosaur shooting game. A sim I could get into.

      • I would love to know too, would be so good if I can give it a go on the steamdeck through junk store launcher

    • If its anything like the first one, its definitely not underrated. its actually undercooked.

  • Anyone got issues with the Epic Game Store launcher?

2-3 weeks back, it asked me to update the launcher which I did and then it wouldn't boot up. So I uninstalled and tried to reinstall but before the install completes, it says the installation ended prematurely. Tried reinstalling multiple times with no success. Downloaded a new install client this morning and the same thing happens.

Luckily I can still claim the free games via the web store but it's frustrating when I can't play the games.

    • No troubles on my end yet. Sounds like you should look into deleting any cache files and registry entries after you've performed an uninstall

Restart the PC, if you shutdown, its still in a lower power state, some bullshit S1,2,3 power settings in win10/11.

Use task manager, click performance, click CPU. Down the bottom is "Up Time" anything over 4-5 days, do not hibernate or shutdown. Only RESTART.

It’s called fast startup, you can disable fast startup to make shutdown do what it used to do, with it enabled it basically hibernates the OS when you choose shutdown.

  • Thankyou 👍
