Supplier of Affordable Squishmallows & Affordable Stuffed Toys

Hi OP,

I am on my quest to look for affordable Squishmallows & Affordable Stuffed Toys for my claw machine based in Adelaide.

If you know any, could you please recommend me some?

I don't want to import ugly cheap toys like most shops do.

Thank you all for your help.

    Kmart sells Squishmallows.

    • That’s what I wanted to do as well.

However, they are not for “commercial use” and I may get ourselves into trouble. Although with such a small business we run, I don’t think they would bother.

Do they say not for “commercial use” on them?

      • Buy them in a half dozen or dozen in one receipt, should be no issues. One pass also allows you to return within one year, but I'm guessing you will need to remove the tags so the game will be more difficult this may void the return process. Don't forget to buy Kmart discounted gift card to buy them.

      • For kmart to send you a cease and desist letter is most likely next to none. Unless the machine goes viral and kmart sees it and the worst can happen is that kmart will tell you to stop, and even then, Kmart needs to be sure that it was purchased from them and it's their branded items.

Also don't think those items will have "not for commercial use or resale" on the product? Alot of people buy things from major retailers and resell them.

Nobody is going to bother you for putting anything in the claw machine, except maybe live animals or drugs, weapons, porn, rusty debris, actually there's a lot you can't put in there. But retail toys is not among them.

No one will actually win something let alone see it is from KMart.

I own a few of these machines in my man cave at home (claw machine and Stacker) and I am surprised at just how they operate and how you can basically stop people from winning. They can be wound right up to not let anyone win, or loosened up so that every game is a winner.

So would this be a good investment for awkward single OZB blokes (not me - I have kids)?

They take chicks out on pre-first dates that go past said machines and proceed to win a tonne of toys for the girl to impress (or un-impress) them.

OP could choose to set the machine to grip properly more often than what most operators do, iirc 1 in 100 is common, so they could do 1 in 10.

The local distributor for Squishmallows is Jasnor, but not sure if they sell to your type of business https://www.jasnor.com.au/brand/squishmallows

  • Come to my area - people give these away regularly or leave it on the kerbside (clean and in great condition, hoping someone will pick them up) for council clean up.

Why don't you try second hand and tweak your machine to increase the chances of winning for the customer - win/win situation?

That's not such a bad idea! I live in an area where most people love to recycle/reuse anything.

    • Thank you. That’s actually a great suggestion! What area is that?

      • North Shore.
