After being caught out a few times by either loosing my adapter for forgetting to bring it , I can now throw a few in a bag and in the headphones case and not have to use the airplanes terrible headphones, so I can use my own.

Any recommendation for BT adaptors?

What about Amazon
I have a Taotronics one, I was surprised how well it just worked because I was expecting to have to muck around with it. I got mine for free from one of those dodgy "review and we'll give you a free one" from the headphones I bought, so i'm not sure what model, sorry.
Are they necessary these days?
I have one in my headphone case and never need to use it. I stick the stereo plug in one of the holes and it works fine.
I was about to ask the same thing. I can't remember needing such an interface since ~2010
I think you no longer need this because either one of two 3.5mm jacks are stereo in most airplanes. You can just plug in either one of them.
on my SG airlines flight I wasn't able to plug in my 3.5mm jack into the dual jacks, couldn't fit it in. Model Airbus A350
Also experienced this too,
$1.97 each on Temu if you just need one

Temu has minimum spend $40 though
A true ozbargainer would buy 21 for $41.37 fromTemu. Keep 1. Resell the other 20 for $2.07 a piece.

@Ima-spider: I'm full of shit. 16 years a member and the most daring thing I've done is double up on my Amazon bog roll order.

Ok, Grammarly Bro
I think you mean Spellingly Bro ;)
Yea, Right!!!
Haha your defiantly rite.
Its been a bloody long time since I have been in a plane that doesn't have an AUX jack that will automatically send stereo to one jack if it detects only one in use. I use my 1 to 2 female splitter way more.
Also not a huge fan of these X for X deals on products where you almost always only need one of them. Its more like $7.60 for an adapter and we will throw a couple extra in because mass production lol
They sell as a bundle for peoples stupidy of losing them and leaving them on AEROplanes.
Yep I'm one of them
I Like Aeroplane Jelly Aeroplane Jelly for me.
Jelly!
This is one of the dumbest devices that were invented
Do they still give free headsets on plane flights? Or do they sell cheap ones on budget lines, what is the story?
Still had the free 1980s on-ear foam padded ones in Economy when I flew to UK via Singapore last year (Cathay Pacific).
They might have had Bose QC in Business class though.
last plane trip with virgin they stream over wifi and you use your own headset, didn’t try it personally but the arm rests didn’t have 3.5mm sockets anymore.
On Cathay the headphone socket jack was incorporated into the entertainment unit (with the USB-A port) on the back of the seat in front.
My most recent trip I used one of those bluetooth adaptors, revolutionary, way better than this.
