Has Anyone Bought a Peugeot 3008 Recently?

I realise this is a Toyota only forum but keen to know if anyone's bought a Peugeot 3008 from 2020 onwards…keen to know owner feedback?

I'm asking since there isn't much online otherwise.

    a Toyota only forum

Haha, it's a value for money forum - and that is what you get with Toyota - no surprise the support ;)

    Peugeot 3008 from 2020 onwards

It's still a Euro, so increased purchase price, reduced reliability and increased service prices :/

If that's fine by you, go for it - it's an individual choice!

if your buying EUR buy BMW Merc or Audi. otherwise, toyota.

I get the sense Toyota has cotton on to this notion and has upped their prices to the point where I am debating if this is still true. Gone are the days where your local Toyota is a fair price, their pricing now blows my mind. Top of the range RAV4 is almost 65k???

  • No one has bought one recently and they went bankrupt because of it. /s

  • People don't even steal them

    • That’s a good thing right?

I reckon you could haggle hard on a second hand one.

  • Hahaha, (fropanity) no.

We had a brand new hire 2008 in Germany last year and put 6000km on it. It was pretty nice to drive and comfortable. It handled 160km/h on the autobahn pretty well. When an Audi and I reversed into each other in a car park in Hungary the Audi had damage but the 2008 did not.

There were some annoying safety systems which could be turned off but had to be re-turned off each time you restarted the car but that is probably similar with most cars these days.

    • what were those annoying safety features?

      • Main ones were Beeping everytime you go 1km over speed limit, auto stop and start of the engine which I found to be cumbersome

It’s like they knew they were annoying because there was a short cut you could setup on the dash and which settings you want on/off and then on startup you just hold that button for 3 seconds and it turns off which systems you want turned off.
