      Please read the description!

  • I have ordered them yesterday and apparently it is coming today lol

Love this 1 star review: Where do I begin? The experimental design is like a cross between a bull castration device and a banned Victorian fever dream child toy. Utterly useless for gardening but might come in handy if you're a Cenobite on the prowl. I wouldn't open that box if I were you!

  • Says $24.57.

    • You are late to the party!

  • What do you guys actually use this for? I've been gardening my whole life and can't see how these would be useful.

It's just a weeder but a different design. I only use the barbed weed puller mainly which is more effective than the traditional weeders that you get in Bunnings.

      • I get that, but the only tool I've ever needed to pull weeds was a flat head screwdriver for the broad leaf. Everything else you can just pull out by hand.

        • It seems weeds are easy in your backyard. Some weeds are really hard to pull out with hands as they have strong roots.

          • @virhlpool: I worked as a gardener for 3 years, never needed weeding tools. The ones with strong roots aren't impossible to get out with your hands. I envision these tools would just make a nasty mark in the lawn.

I don't see how these would be any better than a trowel, hoe or a hori hori knife.

@virhlpool: Even the guy in the logo of this brand is using a hori hori knife lol

            • @Broden: This is a tool for noobs, who then realise they've wasted $20.

            • @Broden: Fair enough. I don't have hori hori knife either.

@virhlpool: I bought one of these a few months ago and the barbed puller is surprisingly good. It works better than a traditional hand weeder with a v (which should work better than a screwdriver) for removing weeds from a couch lawn. It's almost magical for removing deep kikuyu from under the couch grass and much nicer than exploring for runners with your fingers.

      • I would think something like this would only be useful for someone who couldn’t squat or bend over to pull out the weeds by hand, but in that case a long handle would be required.

It's incredible for pulling out winter grass. My lawn was ravaged and the longer/straighter tool made a 6 hour job roughly 2 hours, my hands were clean after and it pulled every single root system out with ease.

Once you get the knack, it's crazy fast and also saves ya back a little.

The other right angle one is great for getting grass runners out of concrete cracks or lines.

I haven't gotten used to this, even though I frequently use the barbed one. I guess it will take some time to adjust to the L-shaped one. I can't get a good grip on the weeds with it.

  • seriously always miss this one

We got ours yesterday. Mrs went to town on the front gardens before it got too warm.

She was happy with it (her thumb is greener than mine, I supervise, give moral support and useless tips plus fetch and carry).
