Storage Bag for Spare Wheel

I'm trying to find a good bag that's large enough to fit a spare wheel with a 16" rim. I need something with a handle so I can move the tyre in and out of the car regularly as space is at a premium in my car. Any recommendations? Would like to spend less than $50, preferably around ~$30?

Thank you

I'd just use one of those cheap woven poly bags. Or maybe an ikea bag.

But those woven poly bags perish and perish badly they do

I've had a good run with them even with heavy stuff. Occasionally the handle might break off. (Typical bathtub-curve - the bad ones will break immediately). They're cheap if you want to give them a go. $2 shop.

        • Thank you. It's a good cheap backup option although not sure if they're good for the environment. I was thinking a potato sack might be decent but where to get one that would fit is another question

@thisusernameistaken: Check out the bags at 4WD Supacentre (Kings) and Anaconda.Large swag bag might suit ,or their other large HD bags. But you need to be more realistic with your cost expectations. If it is medium long term usage issue, I would get a dedicated bag made at a canvas place/ motor trimmer. They might do it cheaper using non matching scraps .

Sew something up from scrap material. A bag for that doesnt need to be a fashion item and anything you make will be likely stronger, and last longer.

    What size tyre? 44inch Boggers?

What is the car? Size of tyre? Weight estimate?

  • Bags that are used for fresh water hose in caravan camping.

    • Looks good. Do you know what weight they can hold? I think the spare wheel is about 20kg, maybe a bit more.
