  • Needs to be powered by DC which makes it pretty inconvenient

You're not going to get 4K/60 without power.

      • Correct me if I'm wrong but something like this only needs the HDMI to be connected (4k 60Hz):

      • Do you know of any splitters than can do 120hz+? Have one for my secondary monitor which I also use for work purposes but is capped at 60hz which annoys me to no end given its a 165hz screen

That would be a fair comment if C&C wasn't available. You're basically negging because "it's not available to me wahhhh".

let's consider this more objectively. The shipping cost issue is valid regardless of whether C&C is available. $26.28 for shipping 3 items, when it's exactly 3 times the single-item rate, does seem excessive and worth questioning. C&C being an option doesn't negate the concern about shipping costs, as not everyone can use it due to location, transportation, or time constraints. Dismissing the shipping concern as "wahhhh" doesn't address the core issue—it's a legitimate customer concern about pricing fairness. Instead of deflecting, it might be more constructive to acknowledge the shipping cost discrepancy and explain why it exists, or consider adjusting the policy if it's not justifiable. Offering C&C is great, but it doesn't exempt a business from providing fair shipping options. Both are important for customer satisfaction.

Nice. Did ChatGPT write that by any chance?

        • it's a legitimate customer concern about pricing fairness

You're not a customer if you're not buying anything.

You do known their a charity, right? They probably don't have access to good/bulk shipping rates.

shipping appears to be $7.87 for me in Perth, per unit. (I only tested with 1 and 3 and that scaled)
making these basically approximately $13 each if you need delivery (to perth, dunno if other areas will mean mileage varies).
still cheaper than "same thing" elsewhere, but shipping being more than the item cost does feel weird….

but shipping being more than the item cost does feel weird….

Why? They're a charity. The product would have been donated to them for free, ie. no costs to Vinnies.

They don't get free shipping, however.

        • Just go to Auspost and ask for shipping and see how much is charged…..

        • Those free name tags or free olight deals where you only pay for shipping is quite popular here.

        • Have now tested with 7 units.
Shipping for that bundle shows as $67.01 which I think is a little bit much given this on the Aus post website:
          "Extra large
Regular (Parcel Post): $22.85 + packaging"

I very much expect that 7 of these would fit in an "extra large" box. (440 x 277 x 168mm)
20 of those can be had for less than $3 each.

$22.85 + $3 is much less than the $67.01 to send 7, (and also less than the cost to send 3. If 3 of these need an extra large box then that should be stated in the listing - as : "these are big" or similar)

Yup, for once, it doesn't suck to be a Melbournian…
