Opinion & Feedback Needed: Samsung Bedarra Split System, DRED

Hi fellow ozbargainers,

We've been considering to install A/C split system in our lounge room. First A/C at home. Would love your opinion and feedback please.

Yesterday I got call from Samsung offering me this unit called Bedarra Split System 3.5kw with code and total final value price at checkout is only $560.15 plus bonus Galaxy Watch 6 44mm Graphite color. If adding installer, there would be $600 extra, however we don't know what the installer service included in this pricing.

Our questions:

  1. Do you think 3.5kw (recommended area 25-33 sqm) would be suitable for our lounge room? The lounge room is open plan with kitchen area, so probably 40+ sqm.

  2. If we buy, should we include the $600 installer service? If not, how much are we looking at if we book other installer? We live in Sydney, btw.

  3. Does anyone have this unit at home? Is there any feedback? I can't seem to find many reviews and the review on Samsung website is actually not very good.

  4. Do you have a good reliable installer around Sydney area?

Thank you.

    • I think there was jotform on Samsung members app and I didn't really know what promotion is that, I just randomly filled that in. I was just thinking that last time during S25 pre order there was jotform and I didn't fill it and I missed it. LOL

    Samsung Bedarra Split System

buy a proper brand like Mitsubishi (Heavy of Electric) or Fujitsu
I own a Samsung phone and a TV but would never get an AC.
Also, don't supply and get installed, ask for supply + install quotes, easier to deal if there is an issue (labour charge would be around $1000 for AC installation)

    40+ sqm.

I have 6.3 kW for around 45sqm, Mitsubishi Heavy Industries Bronte RCAC, Total cost, supply+installation was around $3500, but I got $1000 from Vic gov rebate

We have installed 2 Samsung splits in rentals.
First around 6 years ago. Has worked flawlessly, is quiet and effective.
Second only a few months ago. We chose Samsung because its proved reliable for us and is keenly priced.
If you can have it installed for $600 thats pretty good.
Check sizing calculators to confirm specs. ACs like to be about right, dont under or oversize.
I know not the 'Bedarra' of which you speak….

I had a Samsung split system inverter and the build quality was poor and it was noisy.. I would not recommend.
