Its surreal coincidence that I came upon this, the day after I had just watched a rerun of Terminator 2: Judgement Day - its pixel art style definitely is a love letter to both the film, and the old school 80s/90s-era arcade / console gaming experiences with 2D side-scrollers such as Contra, Prince of Persia, Blackthorne etc. It looks promising, especially listening to the Bitmap Bureau developers on the second video (below) - Bitmap Bureau were the developers behind Xeno Crisis, Super House of Dead Ninjas, Final Vendetta, Battle Axe, 88 Heroes.
