Huffy Slider / Green Machine rear wheels

Whole unit can be brought for $90, rear wheels about $60 posted to replace, great little market there :( Unfortunately after 3 days of use for the purpose they are designed for, sliding around on roads, the wheels have worn through, need to replace them cheaply, or take it back I guess because I can't afford $60 a week for plastic wheels.

  • mods for these use PVC pipe for wheels. will last heaps longer but not cheap. if your gonna hammer them out on the open roads will be the best option tho.

  • Interesting concept, so they sleeve the existing treads ?

    • it was something i saw online when i was looking into sliders…. before i realised that im far to old and far to stupid to ever seriously contemplate getting one…. theres "kits" on ebay which were reasonably expensive, but im fairly sure i found cheaper options tho this was quite some months ago now.

i think the kiwis are the kings of all things crazy like these. might pay you to get your googlefu on and go for a hunt. but yea the standard rears are fairly useless.
