  • I have got these applied 4-5 years ago. Faded and looks dull now. Can I simply re-apply without scrubbing the old one off?

    • +1

      From the link:
      1. Preparation is the key to success
      - Read instructions carefully.

      • Scrub and rinse each section. Bare concrete should be etched with the etching solution provided and previously coated should be coated with Rust-Oleum Re-Coat Primer.
    • Nope. However.. it also shouldn't look dull unless sun is hitting the epoxy. If you're applying it where there's a fair bit of sunlight then you'll want to use polyaspartic as opposed to this kit which is epoxy.

Aldi is doing wattyl brand 4L packs for $100 coming up. -https://www.aldi.com.au/special-buys/special-buys-sat-8-march-b4/saturday-detail-wk10/ps/p/garage-floor-paint-kit-1/

I want to do this to my garage at some point but I am genuinely unsure of what brand to use, I know Dulux is the best for paint, you guys think its the same for this stuff?

    • +2

FYI, Dulux hasn't been the best for paint for a very long time.

      • +2

Not a really good FYI, what am I supposed to do with a negative like that?

        • -2

Do some research, not wait to be spoon fed

          • +3

@corbz: I did, Dulux is the best based on my research and talking to several trade professionals too.

This is basic conversational skills here; when you make an assertation in contrary to someone else the onus is on you to provide proof to support the dispute. It helps everyone looking at this learn and do better. I can equally say its not my job to confirm their contrary opinion, which is much more in line with the basics than the classic "do your own research" response, which never looks good.

@doobey1231: You: Dulux is the best
              Him: Dulux isn’t the best
You: How dare you say only that

Okay champ, maybe take some of your own ChatGPT basic conversational skills

              • +1

@corbz: Oooh copped the champ. Are you upset because someone has to teach you the basics of how to have a conversation? Sorry about that, not really my fault, hope you get better though.

                • @doobey1231: Sheesh, struck a nerve. Tight onus on ya

                  • @corbz: Not even close, you have my sympathy, you haven't been taught very well.

                    • @doobey1231: I’ll take your lead and make an unsupported superlative statement and then complain when other people challenge it

                      You: Dulux is the best
                      Him: Dulux isn’t the best
You: How dare you say only that

                      • @corbz: This is pointless, its clear you just want to argue for the sake of it. I hope you get the help that you need mate, try to enjoy your weekend.

                        • @doobey1231: Dodged the same point twice.

This is basic debating skills here; when you receive an assertation in an argument with someone else the onus is on you to provide proof to debunk the dispute. It helps everyone looking at this learn and do better. I can equally say its not my job to confirm their contrary opinion, which is much more in line with the basics than the classic "you haven’t been taught very well" response, which never looks good.

  • How easy to clean is this? Things like water based paint, food, blood or pets after?

    • +6

      food, blood or pets

I'm not sure I want to ask what you actually use your garage for :/

      • +6

Butchering pets for food by the sounds of things

  • Be weary, if you have a very smooth garage floor and then apply this, when it gets wet it can become very slippery.

I added the sand like anti slip additive and i still find mine to be way too slippery.

    • Good to know this, I was contemplating about doing it to my garage but floor being slippery when wet is a huge no no to me.

      • And I thought slippery when wet was a good thing…. Apologies SISTER
