Hi Oz bargainers, my Bose 700 headphones broke down last week. As a replacement I got Bose Ultra Headphones @ $603. Felt proud of myself. Felt a heart break today with this deal.

The Bose QuietComfort Ultra Headphones Wireless are a step up from the Bose QuietComfort Headphones Wireless, but many differences are small.
It's wild that people think this is worth any more than the $198 it was selling for when there's nothing "Ultra" about it.
The why is that when they have issues, you are upgraded to whatever newer model is released.
The hope is that the newer headphones will be better

Bose are pretty good with warranty and even after warranty claims.
Bose wanted to inspect it. JB hi-fi was happy to provide me with full credit. So, went there.

I'm keen on these. I found the $198 deal back in December, but I believe that was for the Bose QuietComfort SC Over-Ear Headphones, which are different from these Ultra models. Given that, I would say this is a good deal? Otherwise, if these will go cheaper, I'll hold off.
Unfortunately for those who did not get it, it was indeed these headphones. I highly doubt they'll hit $198 again anytime soon (if ever, was a pricing error they honoured afaik) but once the next generation come out they might hit close to the $198 mark again. Won't be for a while though. I think this is a decent price if you're super keen.
I wanna share how a got an even better deal on these, probably not repeatable but you'll all appreciate it… They had the blue colour for $440 on Amazon last week and black was $550. I went in the chat with Amazon and asked whether they could do the black for the same price as the blue. They said no but offered me a $50 discount code. I went for that because I really wanted the black.
Then yesterday, when the black dropped to $418 I chatted with Amazon again and said I'd bought them a couple of days earlier at the higher price and what could they do for me? They offered to refund me $100. So I ended up landing them for $400.
It's obviously nowhere near the $198 pricing error deal but still.
Got it price matched at JB Hi-fi, bought gift cards from ozb classified for a 10% discount, used a $10 perks coupon and ended up paying $368. Still nowhere close to $198, but still happy.
