i went with my son (7) and nephews (7-12) to a Victory vs West Sydney Wanderers.
The good

It was a touch pricey e.g. this game in the title cheapest tickets i can find start at $40. AFL GA is $27.
West Sydney Wanderers cheer squad, personally i loved the drums, loved the chants, until they literally started chanting 'Melbourne Victory i ****ed your mum, there is a chance you are my son' over and over and over again, like come on i could have even dealt with that chant once but they sat there for about 10+ minutes. They had another chant that was about once you are one they are buy your side, and the tag line a few yelled out was 'by the ****ing side' you could put up with that.I would go again but only when the tickets are on sale/I can get a deal, i would make sure i wasn't next to a cheer squad.
Hint, i took disposable ear plugs for the kids i ended up supplying a small circle around me, really helped the kids deal with the noise.
Football is a much better and enjoyable game than meaningless cricket and violent footy and rugby which should be banned along with boxing and other kicking sports.
