Referral Link Request Etiquette, What Do You Do When You Don't Get a Response?

Is there any etiquette rule of thumb on requesting a referral code via the random referral link button?

I'd like to sign up to Tangerine NBN as the sale ends tomorrow, I requested a referral a few days ago and again yesterday but have no response from either. I'd like to get it done today, do I just smash out 50 referral requests now and hope someone replies by the end of the day?

For reference the Tangerine referral request send them a private message with the below text:

This is an automated private message requesting referral for Tangerine. Please reply with your referral information.

Instruction

Your referral code is on the original email that you signed up.

    Believe it or not, not everyone is permanently on OzBargain all-day every day. I know, it's odd. Just send requests and first come, first serve.

      Cheers. Yeah I guess that's my point, not everyone is on OzBargain everyday so I can't expect them to respond in any particular timeframe.
      It's not any kind of jab at those not responding, I'm certainly not on every day. I just didn't want to get some kind of ban for requesting 10x or 20x referrals in a row, with a first come first serve for the referral benefit. Perhaps that's how I should have worded the question "Is there any issue in multiple referral requests, with a first come first serve approach to the referral"

    I have a rule of thumb that says you can normally judge a providers after sales service by the pre sales service.
    In this case I would steer well clear.

      It's probably a good rule to go by, I've had abhorrent service with Exetel so it might be out of the frying pan and into the fire. I can always churn again I guess.

    To wrap this up, I just send 5 new requests and two people responded in less than a minute.. not sure how they even found their code and responded in that time. If you're reading this in the future, just send the 5 requests and wait a day.

    I just smash the referral button. It's a bonus for them, if they snooze, they lose.

    FYI I referred 10+ people through OZB, didn't see a cent.

    I think you need to contact them to ensure they apply it.

    Basically… Smash out 5 requests, first to reply gets the referral.
