This is the best mini led tv according to the best tvs reviewer around.Surely the Bravia 7 is not superior to the Bravia 9 miniLED. The latter has many more backlight zones for a start.
Bravia 7 might be the best value - similar picture to Bravia 9 but much cheaper.
This Bravia 7 is quantum dot and miniLED.
Mini LED refers to the backlight type - an array of tiny LEDs, vs FULL ARRAY which are the same idea but larger (ie less backlight zones).
Quantum dot refers to the light emission material in the LCD layer. So a screen like the Bravia 7 can be BOTH quantum dot and miniLED.
Both of those Samsung TVs are edge lit - not a backlight array. I think Crystal just refers to the image processor (not sure). It mentions in the specs that it uses one.
Very interested to buy this tv. Wanted to wall mount. Any suggestions on people who can do it in Melbourne?

Not to be pessimistic about this TV. Saw this TV with right next to C4 77. There was a very clear difference in the video quality and colors. Both TVs was playing the same video. Sony looked washed out. 😞
LG c4 83 inch is $5k++. Way out of my budget. 😅
C4/G4 will come down now the 5 is out and 40% brighter.. patience.
Yes, more diffuse reflection makes it look washed out, a step backwards from previous Sony 95 series, I think they want us to buy Bravia 9 but too expensive and I have never seen one in store to compare.
