    A bit too expensive.. don't think it's a deal.

    • Thanks for the feedback, we did think of removing the freight, which could make it better; but we then realise cannot afford as many orders cost us $30+ just for delivery cost…

        $30+ postage for this?

        Pg.10

5kg Large satchels are $18.95, way less if you have band discounts. Or partner with one of the many courier services and don't pay rack rates.

        • Delivery is $15 for standard and $30 for express, in line with AusPost pricing you linked.

          • @youfnc: Was replying to their message saying it costs them $30+ to send.

            • @m9: You edited your original comment accusing them of making money from shipping.

@youfnc: Again, was in response to their $30+ delivery charge in their comment, not title.

                Here:

but we then realise cannot afford as many orders cost us $30+ just for delivery cost…

Hence why I said if it really cost them this much to send then they are making money off postage.

                • @m9: Making money from who? their shipping rates are $15 for standard and $30 for Express, which as I said, is in line with your link?

                  • +2

@youfnc: Do you not understand what it means when I say I was replying to their comment regarding the $30+ shipping?

but we then realise cannot afford as many orders cost us $30+ just for delivery cost…

Looks like we're going round in circles with your comprehension level.

                    • @m9: I understand perfectly. I see where they stated it costs them $30, while you, the consumer, only pay $15.

@youfnc: How can it cost them $30 when you said $15 is in line with the AusPost pricing I linked earlier?

                        • @m9: We're talking about completely different things. My question has always been in response to your now-deleted comment about them profiting from shipping.

                    • @m9:

                      circles with your comprehension level.

                      This was an unnecessary edit.

I hope you don’t mind me jumping in to clarify a bit further.

We can’t use satchels because they can easily damage the product’s finish during transport, leading to higher return rates. Instead, we use our own packaging. Couriers charge based on either weight or cubic meter (CBM), whichever is greater. For customers in non-metro areas, the freight will be doubled easily

That said, this isn’t a complaint—just aiming for more transparency where possible.

          • @Andrew Thomas: All good. Couriers are way cheaper when you have an account. Some couriers have fixed satchel rates which you can stick a box in and it will still go as satchel rate.

Be aware of the product height—there are two sizes: one is 283mm tall, and the other is 183mm. I use the 183mm size at home.

  • any other item that has spout length about 210-220 mm
current one I have about 215-220 mm
