I know everyone has their preferences, but I wouldn't even play it if paid. I didn't like what I saw with the previews and Youtube playthroughs, I'm not just talking about "woke", I don't care about that too much. TLOU 2 IMO is very woke, but that was one of the best games in recent history.
I hated thou2 first play through. Now I've grown to love it. Yes plot and pacing could have been better. And the post modern ethos.
But man, amazing immersion. That ultimately what I care about in games. The ability to escape into another convincing world.

Blaming diversity every time a shit AAA game comes out gets annoying after awhile. I reckon most people don't give a rat's arse how progressive or inclusive a game is as long as it has good gameplay (and good story for RPGs).
Weird take considering like 45%~ of people agree with old makes point… So while technically "most people" (on ozbargain anyway) "don't care", 45%~ do care and aren't buying it for that reason, which is a fair chunk of sales to lose in anyone's book, certainly the difference between being profitable or not for most games.
So at least it will eventually be a self correcting problem when more and move of these dumb studios get shut down after costing their publisher millions.

I think you'll find they do, and when it's included in the game it's also in the hiring process for staff so it effects quality as the top positions gets filled by blue haired slugs that have a chip on both shoulders.
If that were true BG3 would of done badly but it was one of the best games of 2023. Bioware just forgot how to make good games, that's it. What is a shame is anti-woke people getting mad at the same stuff for a decade now.

Bioware died a long time ago after EA bought them, like most studios in EA's graveyard.
ME: Andromeda, Anthem, DA2, and the 10+ years of DA4's development with EA constantly changing their mind and restarting it made that pretty clear.
I was actually a bit amazed they got any game out at all which is apparently at least technically competent. I wrote off DA4 a long time ago, and it's not due to 'wokeness' which the whiners scared of gay people always go on about, the franchise has always had LGBT elements.
I gave up on the series with DA2. I even returned that game half way through playing it, really couldn't bear the low quality rush job that was repetitive and boring to play. Dragon Age to me is just Dragon Age Origins.
@Leeroy Jenkins: Inquisition wasn't half bad, but it couldn't escape the cartoony design they went for with DA2 and recapture that grounded believable world feel they had in Origins.

Pretty keen to have a bash on TMNT for nostalgia's sake. Never liked Sonic and never played a Dragon Age game so may or may not give those a shot at some point.
It's a good collection with decent emulation and the only way to buy the original and Turtles In Time arcade games on consoles and PC since the delisting years ago. Get it while Konami's license lasts!
I tried getting into the DA series years, I thought the original was good… but my interest wasn't there for the sequel (and beyond). I'll at least add it to the library.

I still play the Cowabunga collection regularly (currently 15 hours this past fortnight via Steam lol) and give the other platforms a run. I purchased it on the Switch (physically) first when it was a new release but at a discounted price.
I got the Xbox, PS and pc versions a few weeks/months after that and all at a reduced price (50% off or more). A great collection imo.
I rekon this is the first time since subscribing to Extra nearly 2 years ago that I've been genuinely excited for all 3 games :D
Dragon Age has always had huge character diversity, as have the mass effect games. This was a bad game. An awful Bioware game. And an even worse Dragon Age game. Making all the characters one race wouldn't have fixed it.
