I dunno what Brandtactics is but it sounds Craptastic

  • Soooo cheap

  • The KTC IPS panel one is $169 after the $30 discount - https://www.amazon.com.au/dp/B0DP71MB39/

EDIT: but yes, this CM reviews well and is a bargain - http://displayninja.com/cooler-master-ga271-review/

    • KTC panel would shit on this too.

coolermasters firmware has crazy issues where it can suddenly drop colour reproduction levels

or for $20 more get IPS and borderless?

Ah jist realised this is not 2k, i prefer 2k at under 200, 75hz is good enough. Just for spreadsheets

      • It is 2K. 1440p = 2K

        • +1

          1440p = 2K

It's not, but monitor manufacturers have been misleading people for a while.

2K is 2048x1080 which is a cinema standard to cut down to 1080p content.

          1440p is known as QHD.

          • @Hybroid: Interesting!
Also interesting that 2K doesn't increase vertical resolution in that sense, but 4K does.

          • @Hybroid: I think the right name for 2560x1440 is QHD too. But whatever you or I think, it is becoming more and more common for it to be referred to as 2K. Common enough that that's what you have to assume people mean when they use the term, not some weirdo 2048x1080 cutdown resolution that no-one uses.

Yeah have it too, $248 is a great price for it

Great monitor, bought from catch recently around same price

Not fancy monitor, but price point really good enough for me

    "Other retailers" charge $299?

    Kogan's 27" QHD 100Hz is $169.

    $150, OK $149.98, isn't much better.

  • This or MSI PRO MP275Q (also WQHD but IPS instead) for $189 from Amazon/MSY etc?
