      Yep, title is misleading…

  • Victa Corvette Twin 18V Battery Lawn Mower $389

Is that the little red one?

This is skin only (no batteries) so not “immediately ready to mow” as described. :/

Title is misleading - should say (Batteries Not Included) or (Skin Only).

This is probably a good mower but the value isn't there for it to be considered a bargain. It needs 2 batteries at $99 each and a $65 charger, so $652 if you click and collect.

In 2018, I paid less for a Victa 82v with battery and charger, closer to $500 from memory. Awesome mower, light, quiet, swing back blades, hard topped catcher, easy to mow near tight edges. The problem with Victa battery mowers is that they can't seem to commit to a battery ecosystem. When I needed a new battery they weren't available even if I was to pay the insane price.

The mower in this post is listed as a clearance item so if my experience is anything to go by, good luck finding spare parts in the future.

Save yourself the hassle and avoid Victa battery mowers.

    • Agreed I’d rather not buy into another battery system when you can just stick with whatever you’ve got RYobi, Bosch etc.

    • I had a similar problem with rover battery mower. Purchased from GYC. Batteries and mower stopped working just before the 3 year mark.
They were happy to replace whole mower but couldn’t find any in stock.
Fuse box repaired as no spare parts were available.
Batteries replaced under warranty. The replacement one was faulty out of box and the other replacement died with mower after first use.
Getting this point took already 3 months. So I had enough and ended pushing for a full refund.

Ended up buying a 2nd hand masport petrol mower from marketplace for $180 and never looked back.
