Multi-Cooker Recommendation Please - Coming from Breville Slow Fast Cooker

I've been using the Breville Slow Fast Cooker for 12 years and it's starting to fail (lid refuses to lock in; coating on pot looks worn). I use it heavily for making stock so Saute and Pressure-cooking are the primary use. I'm however intrigued by the all-in-ones with AF capacility so I can retire my Ninja AF to make space.

The few I have considered are:
- Instant Pot Duo Crisp + Air Fryer (~$220): 8L capacity is an upgrade but seems its AF capability isn't so great. Stainless steel pot sounds great.
- Instant Pot Duo Crisp Ultimate Lid (~$320): Seems a great all-in-one solution (and AF can go up to 240C) though pricey and only 6.5L capacity.

Would love to hear your thoughts on these units and if I should consider anything else around this price range.

Thanks!

I have an instant pot duo nova and seperate af and think they're both great.
A friend has the duo crisp and they also say that the functionality of the af is limited.

I think if you keep the multicooker and af as seperate appliances then both are going to be better than a combined model. But it depends entirely on your needs

I also want to apologise for trying to make a useful response on an ozb forum. That's my bad

Thanks for your input. Not sure why you are apologising but I must be missing some hidden context here lol.

  • i'd be intrigued how putting an effective airfyer into a multicooker would be. Doesn't it need a big fan and mesh at the bottom of the food to airfry properly?

  • I have the InstantPot Duo Crisp. The InstantPot itself is great. 8L is enough for me. The air fryer is good if you don't over fill the pot. There is a divider to make a shelf but if you need to turn your chips on the bottom it's hard to get the shelf out without dropping your nuggies as there's only a hole in the middle to grab it from.

  • I ended up getting the Duo Plus 8L. The 8L capacity and stainless steel basket were a must for me (which rules out the Ninja Foodis with their ceramic coatings).

Not the best price at $199 but I really need something for the weekend. Should have jumped on the Duo Crisp 8L that was available on the weekend for $215. Oh well….

  • I would go for an InstantPot and a separate airfryer.
