Strap one of these Big Bad Boys on your wrist and you, too, can look & feel like an 80s action hero. Oozing old-school looks and rugged toughness you'll be ready to take on any alien invasion, whether terrestrial or extra-terrestrial. With 200m of water resistance you don't need to worry about getting wet with either water or alien goo, the calendar is accurate to 32 December 2100 so you're always ready for the future, and the daily alarm means you'll never miss that next dinner date. It's certified by PADI so it's suitable to use for, you know, actual diving (yes, apparently some people still use their watch for that).

Have you written this or was this AI?

        I take full responsibility! :-D

        • Ok ok. I like the watch but not good with spaghetti wrists.

          • @Thrifty Dan: I, too, was moderately interested but then I stopped by at Watson’s to check out the Tropical and saw just how large it is. Definitely designed for the outside of a wetsuit!

            • @Chazzozz: Yes, fair enough. I would love to buy the Seiko Prospex SPB429J Australasian Exclusive Limited Edition, but I am struggling more with the size of the watch than the price tag. I wear my Citizen Unite often, which is similar.

@Thrifty Dan: Those 'Sumos' are nice, still found them very big and got rid of mine. Despite being limited to 1000 pieces (Noosa) there weren't many takers and ignore the silly RRP (Whitsundays even moreso). You'd want to get one for 50% off but I'd just get a normal/king turtle or regular Tuna, they are smaller than the Arnie.

    • the daily alarm means you'll never miss that next dinner date.

normally you are not invited to many dinners if you wear those 80s watches :D

Oh yeah, starbuy deal of the day..

The SNJ039P Tropical Lagoon SE is still $399 at Watch Depot if people don't mind that one (plus $25 off with new email signup).

I just sold a snj025p, let it go a bit cheaper but was always a bit too big on me and needed to free up some space. . 47mm is big but the lug -lug is still reasonable I guess (maybe 50mm). I've still got one Padi tuna so that will do haha.

Come on doooo it! Purchase it nOw!!

  • Absolute unit of a thing

  • Big BOY!

    • It can be used to break down doors during fires

  • It also features diving log, depth metre and temperature measuring functions.

    • Is that exclusive to this model, may explain the extra cost.

over $300 and still no sapphire? no thanks

    • You should go away behind an eclipse haha.
Hardlex is fine and actually better for diving (scratch not shatter).

  • Note that while this is a large watch, it actually wears smaller than its listed dimensions. I have small wrists (around 16.5 cm), but relatively large hands. Despite this, the watch looks well-proportioned on my wrist and doesn’t appear too large.

  • Arnie Tuna

I'm picturing a tuna fish with Arnold saying I'll be back!
