I'd be wary, it's got the Herald Sun logo.

Seems alright on the surface but there’s always catch, which seems to be harvesting and selling your location data - whether you’re driving or not.

Your privacy is worth more than a few bucks.

  • Don't sign up for the paid subscription and get money. I already sell my location to google so dont really care about the privacy stuff.

  • +3

Don't sell your data so cheap!

People need to stop treating their data/geospatial movements so frivolously.

  • +1

I mean if you are the sort of person who drives around with Waze/Google/Apple maps open anyways then you are already giving this data way (especially with Waze/Google).
So for those people, go for it.
For those who care about privacy then maybe stay clear.

So I give them info on everywhere I go, and they give me half a cent per kilometre. Just over $70 per year for the average driver.

    Sounds good. Not.

It is an innovative way to spin a data harvesting scam. To not just record where you drive, but record how you drive too, and call it a safe driving app.
