I'm not a donut aficionado and don't have them often. However pretty much any donut in a local bakery is better than Krispy Kreme. In Adelaide Balfour's are pretty good for a standard chocolate donut.

Well worth the money. Better than eating crap but it's cheap. I know that's not the OzBargain way.
