Hello!
First forum post!
Recently, there was a buy one get one free itunes card thingo going on at Harvey Norman.
I was on a trip to the gold coast and had limited internet (ozbargainers don't pay $4 an hour for those cafe internet thingamajigos, we only get the cheapest (and crappiest) - TPG), and only discovered the post after the free shipping was cancelled.
Harvey Normans around us were all out of stock, so I stopped of at an officeworks, hoping for a pricematch.
Something really dodgy happend.
We literally spent around 20 minutes at that store, as the attendants couldnt figure out how to process the cards. They read over the emails over and over, called the manager thrice, discussed among themselves how other attendants did it etc etc.
Eventually, they figured it out, but for some reason, they made the price for the cards the following (copied straight from the receipt)
*TCITUNS20 $20.00
ITUNES SILHOUETTE CARD 20
*TCITUNS20 $20.00
ITUNES SILHOUETTE CARD 20
*Price Match iTunes/Telco -$2.90
*Price Match iTunes/Telco -$20.00
=============
TOTAL $17.10
As i see it, the price should either be 19 dorra (-5% of the $20 price), or 18 dorra (-5% off the $40 price).
Does any1 have any1 experience with this? Has this occured to anyone before?
I'm just looking for a viable explanation, cause this seems really out of the ordinary.
TY in advance :D
