Terrible experience with a broken panel on the 85 version of this. Never buy from Sony eBay.

    • How was the refund/exchange process for you?

        Terrible apparently

        It's shocking.

Basically they shipped me a broken tv

The box looked like it had been in the Ukraine for 2 years at the front line.

Clearly been returned and shipped out multiple times.

I said I wanted a replacement. They didn't give me one. I said I wanted help getting it boxed back up and off the wall mount. They didn't.

All they did was a refund.

Cost me 4+ hours of time for a sh** experience.

I bought a tcl c755 instead on sale. Not quite as good but f Sony. Never again

So they shipped you a wrecked box and you wall mounted it before testing it?

Used 2 be a Sony fanboy. Until my last 2 sony tvs just lasted long enough to be out of warranty. Never again.

@feisty - Same here! Last Sony died at 13 months old. Sony refused to help and expected me to pay for a repair.

        • You hear all the stories about ACCC rights. No luck that path?

@Royale with cheese: @Royale with cheese - Retailer came around and sorted the issue. Sony even gave them a hard time. This was a few years ago, so maybe things are different now.

ACL has its place, but it can still be annoying and difficult getting retailers to enforce it.

Sony is randomly terrible, can't even connect the TV to a bloody headphone. The TV has bluetooth, and connects to keyboards but they removed the profile needed to connect audio devices, how stupid is that. I've been using an external dingle to connect to headphones.

They initially had an app that allowed recording of live tv, they just took that away. There was no official remote app for years after that, until recently, still no recording features.

    Absolute garbage company

Been using wh1000xm4 and then wh1000xm5 with my Sony FALD TV for several years without problem.

      • I have a KD-65X7500D, for years now. Experience mentioned above.

        • I am using the XR series (earlier version of the posted model).

        • X900h and 1000xm3 works for me too. Is it because both are Sony?

  • OOS

  • Last i recall, there are still people on here saying ferociously that Sony eBay deals are new. Again these are ferociously seconds, not box damaged! And i seriously doubt Sony Australia knows how to refurbish (even though it say it is). Or market is too small to have refurbish program

    • You need to look out for the listings with “(Box Damaged)” not the “(Seconds)” ones. Just got a box damaged one couple weeks ago, and the tv and box arrived in normal undamaged condition as you would expect when buying a new tv.
