Synology to PC Sync

I bought NAS setup a few years ago/ I haven't had an auto-sync option, rather I have been going through various USBs and transferring into new folders on the NAS.
Now though, I want to start sorting through the files, creating new folders , deleting etc…

Is there a way to clone the Synology folders to the desktop, and then what changes I make on the PC are then synced across?
Do I have to remain logged into the NAS or can I create the sync just when I log in?

Thanks in advance….

any other tips/?

  • Create a shortcut on your desktop to the shared folder on your NAS. You may need to enable SMB service to access the network folder on NAS.

If you prefer folder sync, you can use Synology Drive

  • Synology has something called Drive you can sync with the PC, better you google tho

  • you can use FreeFileSync on PC
