Sounds like it shall work well for me. Thanks for sharing.
Stopped working after a few minutes use? That's really concerning lol. Did you receive you repackaged unit that may have been returned
Mine's been really useful for cutting PVC pipe for stormwater and vents, cutting into interior doors to fit vents, detail sanding.
Hope to get some good use out of it. Thanks
It's a handy tool and does what it promises well. I got it part of this deal so don't pay more than $44 for the brushless.
Wow. Great price..thanks
I've cut two square holes so far with it, $22 per hole
.
I have one and I abuse the hell out of mine… Domestic use only my arse. Does everything I want it to do. I find it’s more about the quality of tips, blades and sanding pads that make or break this tool. I never thought I needed one till I bought it and now I use it all the time.
Thank you for the feedback 😊
It's fine for cutting out small, hard-to-reach things. Used it during a recent deck build but not too much else. Picked up on a similar sale, so it's useful if you're already in the Ozito system.
I have had a corded one for years and it is incredibly useful for a range of difficult things to cut.
It is the sort of thing you don't realise how useful it is until you have one and can use it instead of a drill, chisel etc for certain things
The most useful thing I found for mine was cutting a rectangular hole in the bottom / back of a tight spot in the kitchen cupboard for the new dishwasher's hose with an electric solenoid anti-flood cutoff valve on the end (i.e. bosch dishwasher hose) . Stuck in a corner I was able to relatively safely cut almost a perfect rectangle just big enough for it to come through instead of a massively oversized round hole. No idea how long I would have been stuffing around without it but I was immediately impressed with my purchase.
I also had to cut quite a long length of plastic sheeting for a project but it didn't have to be super straight. I struggled with shears for a few minutes, got 5% of the way there then got the multi-tool and it sliced it to size like a knife through butter in seconds. Although there is a semi-circle tool that looks like 2/3rds of a toothed cutting disc that is good for this that this ozito doesn't seem to come with.
My father is an old school chippie who has all sorts of standard tools (but didn't have one of these because his old school talents and tools can do anything kind of thing), he borrowed this on my recommendation for cutting in a tight spot and I had to remind him a few times to get it back, which he conveniently forgot as I could tell he liked it and was judging by the scuffs etc on the body it had done a lot of work whilst he was trying it out! Although that's all good as I am far in his debt as I borrow his tools and talents far more regularly.
For most DIYers, it isn't necessarily that common you need one, but when you have an odd job that needs it, it pays off on time and headaches saved, and you have no idea how you would have done it in a reasonable time otherwise.
I have the ryobi version. Its a very handy tool, but as above somewhere, good blades are important.
I use mine quite a lot doing all sorts of stuff. Initially bought it for cutting cornice in place. Its great for finishing a cut when your circular saw wont quite reach. Good for cutting square holes in stuff, or cutting in corners. Havent doen a lot of sanding with it.
What specifically do you want to do? I have the brushless version. It stopped working after a few minutes of use. The lamp still works.
The clamping mechanism is very good and while it worked the sanding was solid and precise. The tool feels robust.
The tool has a good warranty so I'll hopefully grab a replacement soon.
As a tool you may need sometimes rather than everyday Ozito is good value for money.
