Best Self-Care Items for New Parents?

As some of you may know, being parents really takes a toll on you. Lack of sleep and sore shoulders/back from carrying bub.

I've purchase a neck massager which I am enjoying AND a good automated coffee machine/robot vac to help on those tough days.

So I'm wondering, what are some purchases you made as a parent of a newborn that helped make life easier for you?

  • Baby Brezza Formula Pro & Tommee Tippee UV Steriliser. Pricey & quite unnecessary, but has made a huge convenience difference to us as part of routine, and would definitely buy them again.

Baby capsule system instead of traditional seat which allows you to strap them in at home, then plop onto stroller base or car seat base interchangable also quite handy. Also Mother's Choice Cosy Baby Carrier for $50 to carry the little one as a front backpack instead of holding them up all day long.

While most people don't bath anymore, having a good half hour hot water soak with bubble bath or bath bomb fizz makes a big difference to muscles and energy.

    • Oh I've been trying to fit a bath into the schedule!

That attitude won't get you a replacement kidney in your time of need.

Kidney? Most elderly people would be grateful if their kids just visited them.
The social contracts are broken, and kids are a waste of time and money, not to mention a drain on planetary resources and environment, as well as being largely unnecessary for the survival of our species which is in plague proportions.

  • Hitachi Wand is a good all round massager.
