Hi Forum, I’m in the market for a timer or two.
The reviews on Bunnings website suggest the smart ones do not last. Should I get a basic analogue one to save myself some hassle down the line? What do you use that has lasted long enough?

I’d be happy with 5y. It’s not so much as the cost but the time to get a new one and set it up. Which ones have you been using?
HPM 24hr Analog Timer and TP Link as smart one
I also have the HPM analogue timer, and have been using it since 2017 with no problems.
IKEA Tretakt $12 at that price I think I'm not bothered about longevity but haven't owned them long term

Kasa
Yeh i have been using the TP Link Kasa wifi timer for years and its never missed a beat. I have mine to auto switch on the external HDD to backup the NAS and then switch off a day later. It connects to wifi seamlessly.
It's so easy. https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/office/create-an-on-scre…
I recommend also including some snappy wordart and clipart to make the page pop.
I have TP Link and Arlec Grid Connect smart pugs, all of them are probably 4-5 years old and I have have had no failures or issues with either brand.
How long? 5y or 10y, I have both analogue and smart that have been working for years. Even if they don't last, they are cheap anyway!
