[Resolved] Samsung Cancelled Items Not Refunded, 9 Days Later

I have a major issue with Samsung not refunding cancelled items. Missing over $600.

I pre-ordered the S25 Plus and Ultra from Samsung. I also ordered buds and a watch with them. Both I cancelled, thinking I would get a refund on them. I have gotten the phones, but no refund on the cancelled items, which I also never got. However, the invoice from Samsung was updated, saying those items were $0, but I have paid for them, as I can see on my PayPal.

No refund has been given in the past 9 days, I contracted chat support and they are useless.

I am confused about what to do here. is anyone in the same boat? I did this last year and had no issues getting refunded.

UPDATE: this has been solved by the case manager.

But are those cancelled items part of the coupon code? So they don't really own you anything?

    • no i paid for them.

      • I think that is part of $200 bonus off ecosystem GALAXY2025, its appear as you pay for them but you get $200 off and if you remove the item, you don't get refunded. Someone else can correct me, it was possible last year but not this year.

dude i paid over 350 dollars thats more then 200 off. so no.
I got refunded last year, someone else got refunded this year within 3 days.

What did Samsung reply when you ask them

    • they put in a report or something but I never got case number, no nothing no email saying they did. no one has contracted me. and they see 0 on Samsung invoice because it does that update to 0 after cancelled item. but I paid for it. and shown them my paypal invoice and email of cancelling.

      • Chat with them and ask them to create case and provide case number

        • i did that. nothing was given.

          • @Rukiata: Ask again .

            • @pyramid: Sure, this will be the fourth time I contacted them about this.

              • @Rukiata: Contracted them again
                got more info

The ppl holding your money hostage will ban you?
        Count your blessings.
Although I have to say it seems to me like you prefer chatting to resolving a simple issue the way 99% of ppl do.

@Protractor: you get banned from sites if you do chargebacks amazon does it, everyone does it. the IP block and address block so anyone here won't be able to ever order from Samsung if that happens I don't want to risk that

              • @Rukiata: Unless they are a monopoly. If a business shat on me, I would ban them.
I call it dodging bullets bullies.

@Rukiata: Why would you shop with them again anyway after this debacle? FFS

You can buy Samsung products elsewhere.

@MS Paint: um? discounts? deals? crazy deals. true ozbargain here. I got an update from chat support with more info this time. see above. I will wait longer if nothing I might have to do a chargeback or just take the hit. i don't want to get banned. I shop with Samsung every year and save a lot.

Samsung is one of the top brands in aus. getting banned from them or Apple would suck.

@Rukiata: also imagine if your friends and family found out you were banned by such reputable companies.Gives me shivers.

                  • @Rukiata:

                    true ozbargain here.

                    Lol

              • @Rukiata:

the IP block and address block

Mate, that's not the way the internet works. You know your IP assigned from your ISP probably changes at random over time right? Unless you're paying extra for a static IP, which from the rest of your posting here seems highly unliklely.

          • @Rukiata: Make a new email.!

            • @Atomik17: I think they do IP ban and address ban so that won't help
But its been sorted I got the refund just now.

Okay. This is similar to what happened to me today. Mine got escalated with case number. They explained to me that in their system, my order was still being delivered but Online Summary said delivered and I did get my phone. A case manager would call me within 5-7 days (another delay) to resolve the refund matter. Incidentally, because it is showing as being delivered, this doesn't trigger the Asurion email to return the traded-in item.

So my point is that if you have Cancellation Confirmation email from them and the email BEFORE they delivered the item (The "Your Item is On The Way") that showed you only had one item (as you ordered 3 item - Phone + 2 accessories and you cancelled both accessories), they really should refund you once the delivery has taken place.

You would have a good evidence to request chargeback but based on the person I spoke with earlier, they should be accommodating.

    • yeah i got that email before they delivered my phone, but never got the items at all. they state canceled on their website.

      • but never got the items at all. they state canceled on their website

        Then you said,

I also ordered buds and a watch with them. Both I cancelled, thinking I would get a refund on them

I'm confused, and how did you even cancel the part of the order?

        • I canceled the watch and buds, I did not cancel the phone, I canceled part of the order.

I said I never got the buds and watch, they never sent them because they were canceled. but no refund was given for them.

          • @Rukiata: So they didn't send you the phone either? And how did you cancel part of the order? I thought you could cancel the entire order, not part of it.

It looks like you try to scam Samsung, they scam you back!

            • -4

@boomramada: what are you even talking about.. i paid for everything. how is that scaming. do you need my invoice? stop harassing me. i just wanted help.

              • @Rukiata: I'm trying to see what caused your issue, you still haven't answered how you cancelled the part order, perhaps that could fuk their system and the issue you are having is self-inflicted and unique to you. Good luck, peace out!

                • -5

@boomramada: burningrage legit had the same issue lol. again still harassing and making shit up.

                • +2

@boomramada: Yes this happens because you cancel part of the bundle. OP clearly bought the bundle to trigger the discount but never intended to pay for the bundle. Normally they do not let you cancel since it is a separate inventory item as a bundle, but there are Ozbargain comments floating around showing how to bypass this and I guess OP followed that.

            • +3

@boomramada: Up until a certain time, you could cancel the accessories without cancelling the order.

Initially, I found that if you ordered 1 phone and 2 accessories, I could cancel one of the accessories.

However, people in another forum related to this, found that if you ordered 1 phone and 1 accessory and you tried to cancel the accessory, it would cancel the whole order including the phone. So an assumption was made that you needed at least 1 accessory to be included for the $200 voucher to be used.

Now we have an example of Rukiata ordered 1 phone and 2 accessories and were able to cancel the two accessories without cancelling the whole order. This is new as far as I know.

The consequence is the same however, if you managed to cancel the accessories and received the cancellation confirmation, you won't get the delivery of the accessories. You are then entitled for a refund because you were initially paying for a phone and the accessories (overcharged).

Really they have no choice. Delivery has taken place and no accessories given and the updated Order Summary (evidence) has excluded them yet they took more money than required. A refund would be well and truly due.

Imagine if you put the time and effort of this post in to sorting out your issue.

  • So i guess no more happy days with samsung? Like stacking 6 codes, returning, etc etc? Just straight bonus trade in and maybe one more code, and edu deals..

Just 9 omg please wait till 29 or 90 days

You were lucky to get it resolved. I once made the mistake or ordering Samsung TV direct from them
They missed the delivery date 3 times, then said they were not sure when it would arrive.
Cancelled and it took over 2 months to get the refund.
There is a reason they are rated 1.1/5 on product review

I had this happen to me last year, Samsung stuffed me around, made a case with Amex and they refunded me nearly instantly.

    • Did they ban you or block you from buying from them?

      • +1

No clue but considering they've spent the last 4 years of the fold with their fingers in their posterior I'm not buying Samsung again anyway

Glad you got it sorted. Were you trying to pull a shifty on the system with ecosystem codes or something?
