No Bills from Telco - What to Do?

It appears I haven't been billed for my account from the major Telco since September last year.

I've checked all of my accounts, and I can't see any payments, yet my service is working fine. Funny thing is, I was actually looking for my account number to port out, and under my login and my wife's, there is no account.

I'm actually worried about losing my number. Anyone encountered this and/or have suggestions on what to do about it?

      Good question - I was looking to port out because of high fees for services I didn't need. I'm now having second thoughts. The only worry is losing the number that I've had for 25 years.

    You only lose your number after its been inactive for.. 90 days? Yours is very active.

  • i had a similar issuse with the T for my parents' nbn , phone & foxtel acct
    it was being credited for like8 months.
    it started when I asked for a better deal, they applied one month free on a new 24m contract (parents have never been anywhere else)
    that credit continued for 8 months.
    then got a letter saying telstra is no longer going to offer foxtel start of last year so the contract is no longer valid.

    • I didn't realise foxtel lasted that long.

  • To port you will need a verification sms recieved on the portting number. As long as you can get that you should be ok.

    I would totally leave it as is though.

    Sit on it and see how long you can ride it for.

    Just heard on Melbourne's 3AW rumour file that you are not alone.

    Known direct debit issues are apparently the problem.
